Dundracon 32 - 2008
Summary by Nick
Dundracon 32 was a fantastic experience, just as it was last year!
Experience Points by Nick
I had some worries about whether players would accept the changes I had made to the game. In general, I think that the players that I received were ones that were already interested in learning about the new system and/or simply participating in the game.
- There weren't enough players to hold a full tournament. Side-games were played instead.
- Explaining the rules at the beginning took only about 20 minutes! (Half the time I was just repeating myself!)
- All the players understood and accepted the rules easily and without complaint!
Goals for Next Convention
I noticed that all the maps that I have a worn and are starting to fall apart. This is unacceptable! I will make creating a map for the next convention my first priority. Some of the gameplay will obviously evolve to match the new map style that I'm aiming for.
I will have a rules document to hand out to all players, summarizing the way the game is played. I will not stand around explaining the rules, instead I will hand out the rules document to all the players and let them read for themselves.
- Make a full-color map in time for CONduit!
- Rules Document in time for CONduit!
- Revise and pretty-up the characters and the character sheet.
- Add the 'ailments' to the character sheet (if I can find a way to fit them).
